Household goods can be shipped via ocean, air or land. No matter the method you choose, you’ll get durable containers built at our own facilities—the very best when it comes to maximum protection for your belongings.
Air freight.
How big is that? The size of a single door coat closet.
What can these containers hold: Clothing, small possessions, etc.
Description: On average, these containers can hold approximately 500 lbs. Please note that packing materials will take up between 10–15% of the space. We limit and even restrict furniture in an airfreight shipment, as heavy furniture makes this option completely unaffordable.
Ocean freight.
How big is that? The size of three single door coat closets.
What can these containers hold: clothing, small furniture, and art, etc.
Description: The smallest of our ocean freight options, the lift van can handle, on average, about 1,200 lbs. Please note that packing materials will take up between 10–15% of the space. Shipments that way less than 4,000 lbs will often be considered for lift van containerization.
20 ft. container.
How big is that? The size of a single car garage.
What can these containers hold: Personal effects, furnishings, normal home contents, an automobile
Description: This heavy-duty container can hold roughly 7,000 lbs on average. When the container is not completely full, your shipment will be secured with a bulkhead, or a plywood wall, which provides extra support and protection, and prevents items from shifting during the move.
40 ft. container.
How big is that? The size of a two-car garage.
What can it hold: Personal items, furnishings, normal home contents and an automobile
Description: One of our largest capacity containers for ocean freight, the 40 ft. container is your best option for shipping larger loads of up to 14,000 lbs. Your shipment will be secured with a bulkhead, or a plywood wall when it’s not a full load, providing extra support and protection, and preventing items from shifting during the move.
Storage vaults.
How big is that? The average size of a smaller walk-in closet.
What can it hold: Clothing, small furniture, etc.
Description: On average, storage vaults can handle approximately 2,000 pounds, slightly larger than lift vans, and they are stored in a stacked fashion.
